TUBISME

A set of shelves proposed for Le Corbusier’s ‘Villa le Lac’ in Vevey. Le Corbusier’s use of piping suggested that mundane utilities can be given dual purposes- whilst household piping was used for the plumbing, it was also used for the fabrication of the villas lamps.

In tribute to Le Corbusier, the functionality of the pipe is pushed further when integrated into a shelving system.
